Thanks to you all for playing your part, we’re now well into level 2.5 and are open and ready to help you with your banking and account needs. 

Here’s what to expect when you come into the branch as we continue to work in a way that serves our members while ensuring your safety.  

We are open for business, but with restrictions in order to keep our staff and our members safe when you come into the branch.  

We maintain hygiene measures with hand sanitisers at the ready and we enforce physical distancing, hand washing and regularly cleaning our work surfaces.  

You should NOT come into the branch if you are unwell, or if you have symptoms of COVID-19, in which case you should seek medical advice 

The theme of Level 2 is to play it safe. COVID-19 is still very much a threat, so we also ensure that if any staff are unwell, they will stay at home, as we all do our part to reduce the risk of COVID-19.   

As required, we are asking members to sign in when they arrive, so we have a contact-tracing record of the people who have come in and out of the branchWe encourage all members to keep track of where they’ve been and who they’ve seen and follow the official COVID guidelines on when to wear a mask. 

We know that this has been a very difficult time. 

The Government’s official COVID-19 website has a COVID-19 financial support tool which you can use to find out what financial help may be available to you.  

The tool will take you stepbystep through a series of questions to find out your personal circumstances, namely: 

  • Your work status, eg. Losing your job due to COVID-19. 
  • Your situation, such as your business is unable to operate
  • Your workplace has significantly reduced your hours. 

The tool will then tell you what financial help and support you could access, and where you can apply or find more information.

If you or someone you know has lost their job, you may be able to get a benefit or some other financial help from Work and Income, depending on your situation. 

Work and Income 

WINZ also have an extra payment available to help with the cost of heating your home over winter months, which the government has doubled the amount of due to COVID-19.  

You don’t need to apply for this one – if you’re eligible, you’ll get the Winter Energy Payment automatically along with your other regular payments.
